The website is too cluttered, uncomfortable to look at for long time, and outdatedly designed
A page contains
Name of the selected perfume, a photo of it. The brand's name and logo along with main accords
Below it the user get to select between three options; Have it, Had it or Want it.
Below it the user get to select between three options; Have it, Had it or Want it.
Fragrantica also has a section with a description of the selected perfume that can also be read in different languages
The image below shows a perfume pyramid, containing Top, middle, and base notes that can help the user understand the scent of the perfume.
The website also gives the user other perfumes made by the brand as shown in the image below
For a better understanding of how well the scent of the selected perfume, Fragrantica provides a chart of the perfume's wear and longevity
As well as perfumes that are similar or remind other users of other perfumes based on their votes
Lastly, at the bottom of the websites, users get to share their review on the selected perfume, where you can see the user's name, profile photo, their review along with their voting
As a user of the website myself, and a designer, I don't find the current design of the website to be very user-friendly. as it is very busy and can be confusing despite the helpfulness of its content. Between the cluttered design and the busy ads, and most importantly the never-ending reviews, the reviews go on and aren't set as pages.
Therefore, my take on the website's design is a fresh and modern design using Figma, larger cards to view the perfumes, and wider negative space to make it easier on the eyes
